AN EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH
Aware that technologies are revolutionizing user habits and leading
to an entirely new culture, Universcience has prioritized its digital
strategy. The goal of the process is to construct a new relationship
with innovation by adopting a participatory, experimental approach
designedtoserveas achannelof access toscienceandtechnology,mainly
for the 15-25 age group. The process is based on digital resources,
facilitation, pioneeringmultimedia systems andapplicationspresented
in different forms at the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie with:
A FAB LAB
(fabrication laboratory): a space of collaborative creation
open to the public with tools available for all users for the design,
fabrication and 3Dmodeling of their creative projects
A LIVING LAB
or digital usage: a space for businesses, research labs
and start-ups to conduct “full-scale” testing of their services and
tools with user panels and visitors to Universcience visitors. This is
an open innovation space where users and visitors are key players
in the process of innovation, co-creators on an equal footing with
researchers and developers.
